Will the iBreath iPhone/iPod breath alcohol analyzer be on your wish list this year? Or will you buy it for a legal-aged driver who you care about? In either case, I ask you this...

What is the purpose of combining an iPod with a breathalyzer? This question popped into my head when I read about this newest of iPod accessories. I would think of putting one on a keychain to help people to reduce driving under the influence, but I wouldn't think to add this to my music source.

However, it seems to be a hot topic of conversation these days. And hey, if it helps people to choose other travel sources if they've had one too many, then I wholeheartedly approve.

This handy gadget also does double duty as a wireless FM transmitter. Pretty nice if you want to transmit your iPod music to your stereo.

The question to be answered is, will the iBreath outsell all the other plain old, single function breathalyzers on the market? This might be a tough task, considering all the products on the market that have already been tested with positive reviews.

I guess time will tell. Music might be the added "bonus" that breath analyzers lack. The popularity of the iPod and iPhone might very well make this a very hot product to own.

For the non-iPod owner looking for a reliable standard (no bonus music) breathalyzer, the AlcoHawk brand is very well known and many of their models have gotten great reviews.

Crazy Penguin Catapult Lite App For iPhone

Crazy Penguin Catapult is the top Free App for iPhones currently, so I decided to check it out. I rarely consider downloading games to my iPhone, but it's so popular I went ahead. Here's what I found.....

The download takes a lot longer than any other iPhone App I've tested, but it's the most complex also. The whole object of the game is just like in the title. Penguin Catapult. As Penguins swing, you hit them with a catapult to the next stage of the level. After you've catapulted all of your penguins over, they are now kamikazee penguins. The goal is to have the penguins dive-bomb the bears and take them out.

Each level is pretty much the same. You always start by catapulting a group of penguins. The number of them changes, and the way they swing also changes. As the levels progress, there are also more bears to dive-bomb and becomes more difficult to get to them.

I played several levels and feel I get the gist of the whole Crazy Penguin Catapult game. Keep in mind, this application is free, or the "Lite" verson, so the paid might be much more complex (although I doubt it).

For all of you iPhone gamers out there. I would recommend this game if you want something graphically pleasing, very easy to pickup, and doesn't require much thought at all. I personally don't see myself playing Crazy Penguin Catapult very often, but definitely see why its become so popular recently.

Platypus is a PC game-inspired arcade side-scrolling 2D game for the iPhone. This game is pure fun, and also kicks a lot of adrenaline with the amount of action it has. I'd recommend the game to anyone, especially the 2D game fans who won't even look at the modern high-graphic 3D games.

Defend peaceful Mungola from the invading Collosatropolans using your trusty F-27 Platypus fighter plane. The game looks like its made of clay!, and the exploding clay ships and the various shooting power-ups are all the game ever needs to hook you! There are two control schemes, both p1good ones, namely tilt and touch. Both control schemes are great and easy and there is simply no down-side about the controls. The game is decently long, and has high replayability. There are five stages, each with multiple sub-stages, and it should take at least 90 minutes or so to finish each stage. The graphics are, like I said, purely clay-ish. The graphics are not life-like, and is how it is meant to be, cartoonish and fun. The beautiful sound tracks go great with the immense action you'll be immersed into. And also, the gameplay is full of action, with clay ships exploding everywhere with your continuous shooting, and you might just get hit by one! Be careful!

Get this game if you are a hard-core 2D gamer. If you are not, get it anyway. This is as cheerful as shooting things can get, and is certainly worth all the 499 cents. If you've already decided to buy this game, get it here

Release of the InvisibleSHIELD Full Body and Screen Protection For the HTC Touch Pro

Let's face it, the stock screen protector supplied with the HTC Touch Pro stinks. It's too difficult to install since it leaves very little room for error. If you are off by 1mm, the screen protector will hang of the side just a little. Over time, the edge of the screen protector will pull up and all the dust and lint inside your pocket will dig into the screen protector. Eventually, the whole screen protector will come right off the screen, leaving it naked and prone to scratches. This is exactly what happened to me after 2 weeks of using the stock screen protector.

When I first got my HTC Touch Pro, I immediately looked at an InvisibleSHIELD product to protect my device. However, they didn't have one developed at the time the HTC Touch Pro was released. I just checked their website recently, and to my surprise, they finally have them in stock. HURRAY!

Supposedly, the same material used in the screen and body protectors are also used in helicopter blades to protect them from debris. The film is only .2mm thick (2 tenths of a millimeter) and is scratch-proof. The video on their website is more than enough proof of the InvisibleSHIELD's capabilities.

Not only does the InvisibleSHIELD protect the screen, it also protects the entire body of the phone. This is extremely important to me because I don't use a belt clip or holster and I hate bulky silicone cases. Bulky cases seem to defeat the purpose of having a small, portable phone. However, with the InvisibleSHIELD installed, the phone won't get any thicker and it becomes protected from drops. I can't count the number of times I've left my cell phone in my lap while driving, then eventually getting out of the car and having the phone fall from my lap onto the pavement. With the InvisibleSHIELD, I can finally put my worries to ease.
