Ringtones Takes Me Back to My Childhood Days

I was born in 1968, so I've seen a tremendous growth in ringtones. When I was a child, there was a telephone in my bedroom which had a common cabinet with a school office that my mother worked at. I remember the phone's ringtone was the original ringtone in the world, just a simple continuous bell that rang loudly. It annoyed but I did like it because I could say hello to others and roar at someone to receive the call. I always got excited when it rang and the ringtone impressed me so deeply that I can't forget it.

When I grew up, the world changed and the phone's ringtone also changed, nowadays there are many different kinds of ringtones in our life. One day, my mother brought a cute telephone having twelve music ringtones, it had folk music, pop music, jazz and piano music among others, each one sounding better than the other. In the end I selected pop as the ringtone of my choice. One weekend, a group of friends dropped in, we were all playing cards in my study room while one of my friend, a smart girl was watching TV in my drawing room. Suddenly, the telephone rang, the right ringtone, a charming pop song filled the air, the girl danced to the music and forgot to take the receiver. She told me what had happened when she was about to leave, but I knew my father had missed an important call.

Two days later, my dad changed the phone tone as he came to know what had happened. The phone tone was back to the original ringtone. I am old now and my father is long gone but I still possess my old telephone and cherish it's unique original bell - which happens to be ringing non stop as I try to concentrate on writing.

I figured this dominance would last for a few months and then taper off, but I was mostly wrong.??Although other novelty phones did become very popular and gain some ground (particularly shake and tilt models like A88 and A380i), the P168 was, for a very long time, still the stand out best seller.?

But, recently that has been changing.?Two knocks offs have risen to the top of the clone heap - these are the CECT i9 and the CECT M88 (aka MiPhone.) This article will discuss the similarities and the differences between the two so that you can determine which may work best for you.

Features: Both of these phones have your basic specs of the clones including the ability to browse the Internet, use Bluetooth, listen to MP3s and watch MP4s.? There are also built in digital cameras / web cams, FM radios, e book readers, and handwriting recognition.

Both of these phones are quad band, working worldwide on most all GSM carriers. You can typically just pop your sim card into the phone and you're good to go.

Shake And Tilt (AKA Shake Control or "Shake To The Music"): One reason that the i9 can be considered more of a novelty phone is because it has the "shake and tilt" feature which means that you advance songs, video, wallpapers, media, etc. by only shaking it.? However, as I said earlier these two phones (at least in my opinion) tend to appeal to different subsets of consumers. Every consumer is different of course, but it appears to me that the MiPhone typically appeals more to business people or students who value it's productivity, while the i9 appeals more to people who value the Java gaming downloads and the shake and tilt that is used for MP3s and MP4s.

Gold XPhone Or Pink CECT I9? How Do These iPhone Clones That Come in Different Colors Compare?

Yesterday, I had someone approach me that asked about the "pink iPhone clone."? First, I thought the person was talking about a skin or custom cover that was pink in color and designed for a knock off.? Then, when she assured me that she was not talking about a skin, I figured that she meant the Xphone, as this newer iPhone clone comes in many custom colors like red, gold, blue, and silver.? But, she persisted that she was actually talking about a pink CECT i9. So, of course, I had to investigate and I found out that she was indeed right.? There are a few sellers who have come up with a way to customize plates on the i9 to make the phone any color you can imagine (pink is very popular). There is even a gay pride model that comes in a rainbow of colors.

But, this is very different than the XPhone, which comes standard with the colors I've already listed (as well as black if this is what you want).? So, as I can now see that people may confuse these two phones, I'll go over their differences (and similarities) in this article.

Tri band Versus Quad Band:?The XPhone is a tri band and the i9 is a quad band.? Both will usually work for most GSM carriers, but if you are on the 850MHz band, you'll most likely? need a quad band. You can check with your carrier to be sure.

Similarity In Features, (Including Shake Control And Dual Sim): These phones are both very similar to one another, since they are both iPhone clones that has all of the features we've come to expect from these knock offs (Bluetooth, Internet, MP3 / MP4, radio, handwriting?recognition, camera /?web cam, etc.)? And, both?have the very popular novelty?feature called "shake and?tilt" or "swing to the music" that allows you to?forward songs, music and video by shaking the phone.?This also means that you?can tilt the phone to move the image from portrait to wide screen.

Also, both phones have two sim slots which allows?for two?numbers or networks.? This is probably the most popular feature on most clones. The?difference here is that the CECT i9 has?dual sim?active whereas the X has dual sim standby.? This means that the i9 allows both?cards to be online at once, while you have to switch back and forth between the two with the X model.? (Most people don't find this to be a big deal though.)

The XPhone does not have this feature, so if this is a deal breaker for you, but you still want a color other than black, you may be better off with the specialty color option on the i9.

Price: The price on both of these phones is very similar and is usually not?a deal breaker either way.? Depending on how much memory the phones have, you'll likely pay somewhere in the $100 - $150 range.
