It's a fact that 95% of all balding or bald men suffer from male pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness usually starts with a receding hairline at the front and is frequently accompanied with thinning at the top.

Over time, this thinning turns into a full fledged bald spot, and the bald spot grows to cover the head, apart from the sides and around the back.

Regardless of this, as long as there is a single hair left on my head I'll still demand a stylish coiffure. So, what balding hairstyle options are available?

The worst balding men's hairstyle is the comb over. This is the classic look beloved of men of a certain age whereby the hair is grown longer on one side of the head and 'combed over' the bald area to the other side.

This strategy only spells disaster even in the slightest of breezes and is to be avoided at all costs.

But assuming you already know this, what are the other do's and don'ts to balding men's hairstyles?

The first common mistake is combing the hair straight back. This may cover bald spots, but it only exposes the forehead and draws attention to the receding hairline.

The second is growing your hair longer at the back to make up for what's lacking on top. This unbalances the head and draws even more attention to the scalp and the baldness.

Younger men with thinning hair might be tempted to use gel? but this isn't recommended. Gel clumps your hair together and reveals the scalp.

Likewise, growing your hair long in an attempt to cover up actually causes hair to separate and show more scalp.

So, what are the do's?

Get more natural looking fluff to your hair by using mousses and conditioners.

Grow your remaining hair by a few inches, get it layered and brush it forward to break up the receding hairline.

If your hairline isn't receding too badly, but the top of your head is thinning, you can get away with keeping the front long and combing your hair straight back to cover the bald spot.

Eventually however, your bald spot will expand.

The ultimate balding men's hairstyle when faced with a shiny bald dome, is to go the whole hog and shave it off or at least a very close trim.

You'll probably be amazed at people's reactions and the compliments you'll get ? the shaved look is a totally acceptable balding hairstyle these days.

Start with electric clippers like you find in the barbers. After you've clipped the heavy stuff, lather up with shaving gel. This gives you a closer, smoother shave than shaving cream.

Then using a razor, start at the top and shave down with the grain taking care at the back - it's recommended to watch what you're doing with a small mirror.

Shaving your head only takes a few minutes and you don't need to do it every day (two to three times a week is fine).

Taking care of your new shaved head is much like taking care of your face. Wash regularly with moisturizing soap, rather than a harsh deodorant soap that can dry out the skin on your head.

Also use a good quality moisturizer after every wash ? cheaper moisturizers will just clog up your pores.

For the summer, find a moisturizer with a sun protection factor of at least 15 to avoid sunburn on your head. And you'll need a warm hat in winter to maintain your body heat.

If shaving doesn't tickle your fancy then you can always opt for a hairpiece as a last resort - though I wouldn't recommend it :-)

Make Money with HavAds

Hi everyone,

One of the things that has bugged me for a long time is that while Google makes money online with adwords, those of us displaying the ads (the adsense side of the equation) on our sites are making pennies. A couple of years ago Google allowed advertisers to bid different amounts for content ads (the ads on your site) rather than paying the same price for search ads (these are the ads shown when doing a Google search). While the search ads still cost an advertiser big money (and it all goes to Google) the content ads can be had for just pennies and you only get 50% of this.

When you hear of advertisers paying $50 a click for a "consolidated student loan" ad don't be fooled - they only pay this on Google search. The same advertisers ad on your site will only cost them a fraction of the search price and you will only earn pennies. Nobody makes a decent per click amount with adsense anymore - and this sucks.

Last month I had 10,189 visitors to one of my best sites - this generated 507 clicks on adsense for a whopping $86.23 - basically it paid my phone bill and nothing more. If I work my ass off and create 100 sites with this much traffic then I might be making some decent cash. Thing is I have 100 sites but getting enough traffic to them all is the hard part - too much work and I have mentioned before that I am extremely lazy.

What's the solution?

A few months back I was posting articles to a blog of mine that had to do with a very popular search term on technorati - each post I made generated several thousand hits for about 30 minutes until my post was usurped by newer posts on technorati. By the way I call this the "Blogarazzi Method" to making money online and I will be posting more on it soon. The point I want to make is that one day Google placed an ad on my site that converted like crazy - 3 of 4 people coming to my site clicked the damn thing - an unbelievable %75 click thru rate! What's more - the ad kept coming back day after day for about three weeks and averaged a click thru rate just over %50 for the whole run. This meant a couple of things - I made almost $3000 in adsense during this period and the advertiser spent a ton of money but they kept on spending so they obviously were making a profit.

This got me to thinking...

How come Google doesn't give me ads like this one all the time?

I knew what the ad was for and why it converted so well and I knew what the landing page was selling and why they were making money.

What if I could have put my own ad on my site instead of Google's and had people going to my own landing page selling the same thing?

Wait a sec... why couldn't I?

I could! And I did!

Even after the topic had died down to only a few hundred hits per blog post I put my own ad up sending people to my affiliate page where I sold the same product as the original advertiser. The difference was that they were now giving me %50 of the sales instead of paying me the adsense fee. Guess what...

My click thru rate on my ad was just slightly lower than the original ad (%47) and these clicks made me $2300 in sales in just over a week. Had I stuck with Google I would have earned about $180 for the same clicks and none of the sales. The topic's popularity on technorati then dried up to almost nothing by this point and I quit the campaign.

Long story short. Since this experiment I have been using Google to find out which ads have a decent click thru rate and then I dump adsense and put up my own ad that looks exactly the same (except there is no "Ads by Google" blurb on them). My ads then send people to my affiliate page and I make the commissions for finding the traffic that others were previously cashing in on without giving me a dime (ok - they paid me pennies for adsense).

I know what you are thinking - most of you don't know how to create your own ads and aren't in the mood to learn html,javascript etc. I admit I had to pay a programmer to do this for me and if it hadn't worked I would have spent a good sum of money for nothing. Fortunately it did work and I found out something after the fact that would have saved me some money - there already is a program available which lets any moron like me write their own ads - exactly like Google's! And it's cheap cheap cheap!

A couple of clever Aussies figured out this same system and took it a step farther by developing a software program that will create your own ads and they look just like Google's. (You want them to look like Google's because people are already trained to click on them.) The designers are Ian Richardson and Carl Bradbrook and the product is called HavAds

Before running off to get this product you should know that to make the most from this product do what I do. I copy the ads that perform well. How do you find these - simple. Let me show you.

Take a popular search term in Google. Let's try , "Make Money Online" . Check out the Sponsored Links on the right hand side and see if you recognize ads that you have seen before - to do this properly you should keep checking for a few weeks as the ads that make money will still be there and the duds will fall by the wayside. I picked this term as you are all familiar with this Niche and I know you will all recognize one ad in particular;

So... what would happen if you put the same ad on your page but sent the people to your own affiliate page selling the same products?

I suspect I have made my point.

Get smart folks and do what the winners are doing. No real trick here - just copy them!

You can get it Here but one last note - don't get this program in order to just sell it to others. Use it! Think outside of the box - meaning get away from affiliate marketing niches and start selling to other people - ie. no Internet Marketers. I have been using this system for a month now in the "Hobbies" niche and have found many profitable ads and products that convert. Just do a few weeks of research and you will find out which ads stick around and what products sell. Oh and do it all with blogs - zero costs. It really doesn't get any easier or cheaper!

British TV channel told to apologise

LONDON, MAY 24:   A British broadcaster at the centre of a racism row involving Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has been found guilty of ‘serious editorial misjudgements' over its handling of the issue and ordered to make a series of apologies.

TV watchdog OFCOM found that Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother 2007 show was guilty of ‘serious editorial misjudgments' over its handling of the Shetty racism row.

The show was dogged by accusations of racism after Shetty faced a tirade of abuse from fellow contestants, including Jade Goody.

The media regulator found Channel 4 guilty of breaching the broadcasting code and ordered it to make a series of apologies during the new series of Big Brother next week.

OFCOM also confirmed that unseen footage of racist behaviour inside the Big Brother house did exist.

The show was heavily criticised for the alleged racist bullying of the Indian actress by fellow contestants Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd, besides Goody.

In its long-awaited report, Ofcom singled out three occasions on which Channel 4 had failed to handle the situation appropriately making ‘serious editorial judgements'.

They were: Jade Goody referring to Shetty as ‘Shilpa Poppadom', Lloyd saying that the actress should ‘go home' and argument over Shetty cooking chicken, which ended with Lloyd and O'Meara making derogatory comments about Indian eating habits.

"Ofcom takes allegations of racist abuse and bullying on television extremely seriously," the watchdog said in a statement on Thursday.

NRI Labour MP Keith Vaz, former Minister for Foreign and Commonwealth Office, who led protests in Parliament over the issue and introduced Shetty to Prime Minister Tony Blair, on a tour of Westminster, called for Channel Four Chief Executive Andy Duncan to resign.

He said, "I welcome the adjudication by Ofcom. This is a vindication of our position."

"Channel Four has behaved in an arrogant way which has shown contempt for the code of broadcasting. It is only right that they should be punished by having to broadcast, for the first time, an on-air apology. Andy Duncan should now apologise to Shilpa Shetty and realise that the contempt that was shown by them during the episode, in my view and that of many of the viewers who complained, now merits his resignation."

Duncan said, "we accept Ofcom's judgement that on the occasions in question we did not ensure that Big Brother intervened with the necessary promptness or strength."

In March, police decided that no Big Brother contestants would face criminal charges over allegations that they racially abused Shetty.

After winning the show, Shetty sought to play down the racism row.

"People make mistakes and we are all human beings and we are all fallible," she said. "I know one thing for sure, Jade really didn't mean to be racist."

Shetty said the best thing to have come out of the show was that ‘people have suddenly woken up and want to take a stand against racism. My job is done'.

Ok, so you say you forgot your Windows administrator's password, huh? Oh well, it doesn't really matter if you did or you just say you did. The fact is that you need to gain access to a computer and you cannot "remember" the administrator's password.

How can you get out of this situation without formatting and re-installing the operating system?

One method of gaining access to the system is by trying hard to remember the forgotten password, or a password of another user which has the same level of administrative rights. However I don't think this approach will help you, otherwise you wouldn't be sitting here reading article, would you?)

Another method is by trying to restore a backed up System State (in Windows 2000/XP/2003) or a ERD (in NT 4.0) in which you do remember the password. The problem with doing so is that you'll probably lose all of the recently add users and groups, and all the changed passwords for all of your users since the last backup was made.

A third method might be to install a parallel operating system on a different partition on the same computer, then use a simple trick to gain access to the old system. Read more about it on my Forgot the Administrator's Password? - Alternate Logon Trick article.

Free Windows password-cracking tools are usually Linux boot disks that have NT file system (NTFS) drivers and software that will read the registry and rewrite the password hashes for any account including the Administrators. This site provides a tool to recover lost Windows XP passwords. It works for administrator and user accounts, it doesn't change the password just tells you the old one. It works with encrypted files (EFS) and password hashes. It even works if no passwords at all are known for the machine (as long as you have another computer with internet access to view this website with).

Author claims it also works with Windows NT and Windows Server 2003 and Windows Longhorn, but the BEST thing about it is the fact that it won't reset your passwords, but simply reveal them for you to remember and then use.

Give it a try. The author would like to receive feedback. There is a free service as well as a priority service that will retrieve your passwords within minutes. The fee for the priority service is very cheap, and is really just to cover server costs.

Note: You'll need a blank floppy to run the process.

Need to change Windows NT/2000 Domain Admin password? This tool, however useful, will only reset the local administrator's password (e.g. the one found in the local computer's SAM). John the Ripper is a fast password cracker, currently available for many flavors of Unix (11 are officially supported, not counting different architectures), DOS, Win32, BeOS, and OpenVMS. Its primary purpose is to detect weak Unix passwords. Besides several crypt(3) password hash types most commonly found on various Unix flavors, supported out of the box are Kerberos AFS and Windows NT/2000/XP LM hashes, plus several more with contributed patches.

EBCD is a bootable CD, intended for system recovery in the case of software or hardware faults. It is able to create backup copies of normally working system and restore system to saved state. It contains the best system software ever created, properly compiled and configured for the maximum efficient use.

EBCD will be very useful when you need to:

This article details a method I have discovered to bypass CAPTCHA security, without having to use Optical Character Recognition software.

Most CAPTCHAs don't destroy the session when the correct phrase is entered. So by reusing the session id of a known CAPTCHA image, it is possible to automate requests to a CAPTCHA-protected page.

I have tested a number of free and commercial CAPTCHA scripts, and most of them are vulnerable to this method of exploitation. This includes the popular humanVerify solution, and many others.

I also managed to automate requests to www.captcha.net's demos, but having examined the implementation of their system on google, I think it's only the -demo- that's vulnerable.

Another vulnerability that most CAPTCHA scripts have is again in their use of sessions; if you're on an insecure shared server, any user on that server may have access to everyone else's session files, so even if your site is totally secure, a vulnerability on any other website hosted on that machine can lead to a compromise of your session data, and hence, your CAPTCHA script. freeCap gets around this by only storing a hash of the CAPTCHA word in the session, thus even if someone can read your session files, they can't find out what the CAPTCHA word is.

Wouldn't it be nice to make a lot of money quickly with minimal effort while working at home in your pajamas? Of course it would. I for one would love to have money streaming into my bank account while only working a few hours a week in the comfort of my own home. I would love to have the extra free time to spend with my boyfriend or my parents and never have to worry about a boss looking over my shoulder.

It could be real estate, stock market investing, selling classified ads, internet affiliate marketing, or anything along those lines. Some sound too technical, some sound too good to be true. It seems that some of us has concluded that filling up surveys for real companies out there seems to make the most business rationale, within our means and profitable at the same time.

I can tell you right now that 99% of all these claims are nothing but scams. I have bought so many of these programs I lost count of them long ago. I tend to try and find the "Good" in people and was "Sold" by these marketing schemes over and over again and continued to get scammed. Finally, I decided enough was enough and I was completely FED UP. I decided to get to the bottom of this fascination we all have with these "Get Rich Quick" programs which are disguised as paid surveys schemes. I decided to find out if there were any LEGITIMATE programs left out there.

I literally contacted the administration of every online paid survey website I could find by posing as an investor interested in investing in their methodology of generating market feedback for companies. Once the dollar signs flashed into their eyes they were more than willing to give me free access to the members section to see what I would be "Buying." I was disgusted with 99% of what I found. Many website owners actually bragged about how useless their programs actually were....

How to Resist the Con Artist Trying to make a "Yes Man" out of You through Mind Games.

The skilled con artist knows how to rig the game to make the players think they are winning. Every time you put a quarter into the slot machine, out come 2 more. In setting you up for the big con, this formula is altered a bit, to nothing more than ace-high salesmanship. They know they must get you in a good mood, very positive thinking, in every respect, in order to get you over to their side.

Thus, you are subjected to the preliminary "Yes / No" test. In it you are being set up, softened, conditioned to saying "yes" to that final (when it comes) "closing" question, "Would you sign here, please?" Their means? A long, introductory series of questions that you, in complete control of your mental faculties, can only say "yes" to. Examples: Would $2,000 a week in additional income be helpful to you? Would your wife appreciate the extra luxuries? Would it be easier to set up a fund for your childrens' college education? Would holding a mortgage-burning party early make you happy? Would you breathe easier knowing that your retirement is secure?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes--to all 5 questions. Of course. Is there any doubt, really, as to what your logical reactions to such questions would be?

Now the con artist has you in the habit. You are being led, inexorably, like a sheep, to the slaughter, toward the desired end-result, the "kill." This would be your final head-nodding, agreeable acceptance of whatever crackpot scheme or product this artist is trying to sell you.

How do you break the rhythm, keep a full handle on your conscious objectivity in reviewing his sales presentation? You almost have to play a little game on yourself, a form of self-hypnosis combined with some amusing musings on answers. For example, mentally--as you go, as he is talking--pose to yourself a mythical "no" answering routine. To demonstrate how this might work, let's go through those leading questions again:

"Would $2,000 a week in additional income be helpful to you?" (No, I enjoy being a struggling paycheck-to-paycheck working slob.)

"Would your wife appreciate the extra luxuries?" (No, she enjoys home canning, making her own clothes and soap, and all the other joys of care-free poverty.)

"Would it be easier to set up a fund for your children's college education?" (No, I'd only have more time to blow the money, like I might be doing right here, now, by listening to you.)

"Would holding a mortgage-burning party early make you happy?" (No, I don't want to incur any prepayment or other back-end costs. And, besides, my banker's got to eat, too.)

""Would you breathe easier knowing your retirement is secure?" (No, this whole concept challenges my Vow of Poverty.)

In sum, beware of stories with happy endings. Often they have unsettling postscripts. Thus, going through some such mental gymnastics--as you go through this person's "Yes Man" routine--might a little better hold your feet to the fire, keep you focused on objective analysis. This, so you will be better positioned for the end-game: when you must ponder the only yes / no question that counts, whether on not to sign on the dotted line.
