10 Things You Can Do To Get Your Wife Back On Your Side Of The Bed

Ladies, have you been with your man for several years? In a committed relationship? Maybe you've had a couple of kids and your body has reshaped itself... Has the drive to please your man gotten low on fuel as you settle into that comfortable place of "being a couple"? Here is a list of 10 things your man can do to help rekindle that spark and get both of your needs met.

Let's face it, women long for intimacy, and men long for ecstasy. Both are often misunderstood. Print this out and give it to your guy. Maybe it will help:

1) Build up her self-esteem. She needs to know you still find her attractive. Tell her she looks good - before she asks - "Do I look ok in this?". Point out the things that really turn you on. For instance - maybe it's her eyes. Tell her how pretty they are - no strings attached.

2) Don't expect it every night. Be reasonable - of course we want it all the time. Let's find a good compromise. Twice a week or maybe three times a week might be more realistic. If your expectations are too high - you might be disappointed all the time.

3) Touch her - but not there - at least not at first. Most women long to be touched lovingly - not groped. Women are relational beings - they want us to hold their hand, put our arms around them, touch them every single day - several times a day. It builds that feeling of intimacy.

4) Give her a massage. Even if it's a 5-minute hand rub, foot rub, or back rub. Women love to be massaged. It's not that hard. Spread your hand out - put a little pressure -and move your hands around. She will tell you how to do it. Ask her how she likes it. Your woman will feel relaxed and special.

5) Set up something romantic every now and then. Do something totally unexpected. Get the kids over to Grandma's house - light some candles - put on the slow music and bring out the strawberries. Women love to be romanced. Need ideas? Ask her!

6) Don't forget that special day. Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Anniversary. You don't have to spend a bundle of money on flowers to make her happy. Fold some colored paper in half, write a little poem, love note, or even quote a passage of poetry (easily found on the internet), and slip it where she'll find it first thing in the morning.

7) Do some housework. Newsflash: Your wife is exhausted. Between the kids, work, laundry, cooking, dishes, and trying to take care of everyone and herself, she isn't getting much rest. Help her out and you will reap the rewards. "Honey, I'll do the dishes tonight so you can get the kids to bed a little earlier tonight" wink, wink, smile.

8) Be patient. If things haven't been lively lately - don't expect a complete turnaround in attitude overnight. It may take awhile to build up your relationship into the fantastic duo you once were. She may be wary this won't last - make a commitment to stick with it.

9) Communicate, communicate, communicate. Women love to talk and to interact with intelligent adults. The more time you spend talking (and listening) the closer she will feel to you. She will feel like she is important to you - she'll feel valued -she'll want to spend time with you doing other things.

10) Try to stay in shape - be a good example for your wife. Has she gained a few pounds? Have you packed on 20 or 30 pounds since the beginning of your relationship? Try to eat a little healthier and get some exercise. Take a walk together. And another simple thing - take a bath and shave - look sharp - don't let yourself go. If a man takes an interest in his appearance and health -she'll be motivated and inspired to do the same. Also, be ready to accept your wife as she is. Inevitably, with age, pregnancy, kids and gravity, women are going to wrinkle, sag, and spread - don't believe the media lies.

Consistently show your woman that she is "the one" for you - that she is special and loved. Show her she is desirable. When a woman feels that from her man - you will be surprised what she will want to do for you when she gets back on your side of the bed.

Ancient chimps may have used hammers

By Randolph E. Schmid, Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON — Chimpanzees may have been using stone "hammers" as long as 4,300 years ago. An international research team, led by archaeologist Julio Mercader of the University of Calgary, Canada, said Monday it had uncovered the hammers, dated to that time, in the West African country Ivory Coast. It would be the earliest known use of tools by chimpanzees.

The hammers were used to crack nuts, a behavior still seen in chimps in that area, the researchers said in a paper in the online edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences .

The finding may indicate that a "chimpanzee stone age" began in ancient times, the researchers say.

The earliest reports of stone tool use by chimpanzees in this area date to the writings of Portuguese explorers in the 1600s.

The stones were about the size of cantaloupes with patterns of wear indicating use to crack nuts. The rocks would have been too large for human hands, but about right for the larger, stronger hands of chimpanzees, the researchers said.

"It's not clear whether we hominins invented this kind of stone technology, or whether both humans and the great apes inherited it from a common forebear," Mercader said in a statement.

But, he added, there weren't any farmers living in this region 4,300 years ago, so it is unlikely chimpanzees picked it up by imitating villagers.

Others aren't so sure.

The tools may predate farming in the area but not necessarily human contact, said anthropologist Stanley H. Ambrose of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There were early human hunter-gatherers in the region at the time, he said.

If chimps and early humans shared this technology with a common ancestor between 5 million and 7 million years ago, there should be sites with chimp debris going back 5 million years and the earliest human stone tool sites should show the kinds of debris found at the chimp sites, Ambrose said: "They absolutely do not."

Some of the hammers also had starch residue on them, mostly from types of nuts that are still eaten by chimpanzees, but not humans. Some of the starch was also associated with tubers but the researchers interpreted that as "background noise" probably picked up in the ground.

Skeptical of the starch findings was anthropologist Jeanne Sept, dean of faculties at Indiana University.

"Their interpretations of the starch grains recovered from the specimens are incomplete, and somewhat circular," she said. "For example, they do not describe which surfaces of the rock fragments the starch grains were obtained from, which makes it difficult to judge whether the grains were left on the tools as a result of tool-use, or if the grains merely naturally stuck to the stones after they became buried in the soil."

"They assert that starch grains from nuts were behaviorally significant, while they decide that starch grains identified as yam roots are 'background noise' but give no justification for that," she added. "They may in fact be dismissing or ignoring evidence that does not match their chimp-nut interpretation of the site."

"It may be premature to accept the range of their claims until further evidence is presented," Sept concluded.

Mercader's research was funded primarily by the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig, Germany; Canada Research Chairs program, Canada Foundation for Innovation and the University of Calgary.

Is Global Warming Really a Sham?

Think Tanks are busy debating over Global Warming and some folks such as Al Gore are trying to back track now to mend fences and get folks all on the same page offering a slight consolation. Rather than calling it Global Warming, he has decided to call it a Climate Crisis, which is half way between Climate Change and Global Warming I suppose. Very diplomatic indeed, but does Global Warming hold water?

One think tank member says; I disagree with all your numbers and so do most all reports, each one has different numbers. Indeed, a percentage, probably very small could be said to either be aiding climate change or inhibiting it from mankind's activities.

There are other factors, undersea volcanoes melting ice and heating ocean from under the ice, changing the water temp. We have solar activity too. We have dust storms and volcanoes, causing issues and sometimes blocking the sun to cool temps. We have more ice in some places, much less in others.

We have the poles of the Earth wondering it what also appears to be a cycle. It seems the Earth goes thru these changes with or without mankind's help. I think Global Warming is a sham. But am willing to go along with the pollution control because, there is no excuse to pollute, that takes no brains and is littering, I don't like it, it is a dumb idea. But crashing economies to stop climate change cycles is also ridiculous.

Fight the battles you can win said Sun Tzu. When Green Peace wants us to shut down all our economies so polar bears do not have to swim so far, well then build polar bear mini-ice berg robotically powered taxis, but lets not shut down human civilization on some pie in the sky, re-distribution of wealth program.

If this is so bad, then lets beef up our human civilizations to get ready to deal with such a future or calamity, not shut it down in doom, gloom and despair. Now then you can see why the debate rages on and I hope this article might share some perspective with you for intellectual thought in 2007.

Global Warming Taking Earth Back To Dinosaur Era

By Jeremy Lovell, September 7, 2006

NORWICH (Reuters) - Global warming over the coming century could mean a return of temperatures last seen in the age of the dinosaur and lead to the extinction of up to half of all species, a scientist said on Thursday.

Not only will carbon dioxide levels be at the highest levels for 24 million years, but global average temperatures will be higher than for up to 10 million years, said Chris Thomas of the University of York.

Between 10 and 99 percent of species will be faced with atmospheric conditions that last existed before they evolved, and as a result from 10-50 percent of them could disappear.

"We may very well already be on the breaking edge of a wave of mass extinctions," Thomas told the annual meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science.

Scientists predict average global temperatures will rise by between two and six degrees centigrade by 2100, mainly as a result of the heat-trapping carbon dioxide being pumped into the air from burning fossil fuels for transport and power.

"If the most extreme warming predicted takes place we will be going back to global temperatures not seen since the age of the dinosaur," Thomas said.

"We are starting to put these things into a historical perspective. These are conditions not seen for millions of years, so none of the species will have been subjected to them before," he added.

Thomas said scientific observations had already found that -- as predicted by the climate models -- 80 percent of species had already begun moving their traditional territorial ranges in response to the changing climatic conditions.

"That is an amazingly high correlation. It is a clear signature of climate change," he said.

Not only had the animals, birds and insects started to react, but there was evidence vegetation was also on the move.

For example, climate-triggered fungal pathogen outbreaks had already led to the extinction of more than one percent of the planet's amphibian species, Thomas said.

Not only would some species simply find no suitable space to live anymore, but there would be confrontations with invasive species being forced to move their territory. This would produce not just wipe-outs but species' mixtures never seen before.

And the changes would all happen at a faster rate than ever before in evolution.

"In geological terms 100 years is effectively instantaneous," Thomas noted.

What is Body Language?

According to a dictionary, 'the body language' can be described as "The gestures, postures, and facial expressions by which a person manifests various physical, mental, or emotional states and communicates nonverbally with others."

Did you ever stop to think how important your body language is?

Whether you realize it or not, your body sends unmistakable signals to people around you.

Monkey Body Language

You communicate volumes of information about yourself with the posture, face expression , et al.

You do it ALL THE TIME.

You might get surprised to know the components of your body language as we don't pay any heed to these basic things in routine :

The Delightful Thirteen

Body Language

1 Head......8%

2 Eyes......16%

3 Ears......3%

4 Nose......3%

5 Mouth.....6%

6 Lips......6%

7 Heart.....10%

8 Throat....6%

9 Fingers...8%

10 Face.....16%

11 Belly....6%

12 Feet.....6%

13 Neck.....6%

This accounts for your 100% body language.

Than there is an 'OPEN Body Language' and a 'CLOSED Body Language.'

Body Language

The definitions are transparent: 'open' body language makes you look like an open, accepting and friendly person, while the 'closed' body language makes you look reserved, distant and unwelcoming.

When you want people to be attracted to you, use open body language. When you want people to go away, use closed body language.

Open body language is easy to master: look straight in the eyes, don't cross your arms or legs, don't cover your body, and don't hide your palms and eyes.

This is elaborated herein :

LOOK THEM IN THE EYES:

Maintain eye contact at all times during your conversation.

Looking people in the eyes is the most important part of the open body language. It has been scientifically proven that long gazes evoke the release of some hormones that make others feel attracted to you .

Body Language

KEEP YOUR PALMS OPEN:

Keep your hands on the sides of your body; don't hide your hands in your pockets. Don't fold your arms or clench your fists. Don't cover your body with your arms. Don't grab a drink or handbag with both hands. Don't touch your face, ears or neck - this shows insecurity and anxiety.

TURN YOUR BODY TOWARDS THEM:

Turn your whole body to face them. Point your feet towards them; turn your torso face-to-face, so the angle between you and them is minimal.

STAND TALL:

You appear more confident and assured when you do.

SMILE EASILY:

There is a world of difference between smiling easily and smiling all the time.

Body Language

Smiling all the time means you are feeling tense and trying to cover it up. Smiling easily means you feel comfortable and can open up into smile any time you want.

You crop up as irresistibly attractive if you display the 'open' body language.

It makes you appear more approachable and trustworthy. It will also make you feel more comfortable and relaxed in any footing.

Remember, your body language tells MORE about you than your words.

Use it to your advantage!
